| The soaring rivalry and a major breakthrough in IT have made marketers pay attention to effectiveness and productivity of all work processes. As a result, there have been invented various programs that can optimize firms' work. One of the most generally deployed document formats is Word Document. It is a word processing program which is intended for creation of office documents, such as resumes, newsletters, fax cover sheets, official reports, legal documents, brochures, instruction manuals and more. Word is normally deployed by businesses, community agencies, and can be seen in the majority of schools and universities. Students deploy it daily and business people use it for creating office documents. The Word format was designed by Microsoft Ltd. It was introduced under the name Multi-Tool Word. The first addition was introduced in the eighties. Since then, there have appeared several other versions, including the latest version that appeared in 2008. The next addition of Word is scheduled to come to the market in the coming year. A lot of new features typical of other programs in the Microsoft Office 2010 will be included. Microsoft Word 2010 will have new WordArt styles and effects supplanting the old ones. Though Word is a component of the Microsoft Office system, it sells as a standalone application and included in Microsoft Works Suite. Beginning with the 2003 version, the branding was modified to emphasise Word's identity as a constituent within the Office Suite. The company renamed Microsoft Word into Microsoft Office Word. Microsoft Word allows to type, format and modify text to create documents that can be printed or viewed electronically. Word is a low-priced word processing application. The Word application offers boundless tools and features, and a great many users are familiar and comfortable with its Microsoft toolbars. Microsoft Word provides tools to format fonts, add clipart, add page numbers, as well as create tables and headers. There is even an "office assistant" cartoon that can direct a user done the creation of a document or respond to any queries that might arise. |
