| With a new and improved user interface, AVReporter has been made easier to use and more intuitive to apply. With the new modules added in this version, it now more easily meets the users’ demands and day-to-day requirements. This new version has also been improved for incomparably ease of installation and configuration, whether you are a first time user or upgrading your existing AVReporter installation. Specific key improvements have been completed in the following: Local and global settings can now be performed more efficiently in one location without having to navigate to multiple dialog screens: WEBPublisher Dynamic Dashboard interface has also been improved with Microsoft’s new Silverlight technology, which enables the user to make presentable reports quicker and easier. Additionally, the new Gadget Bar ensures handy tractability for the user. AVReporter can still be applied in either web or desktop environment; but as requested by our users, the simple and easy interoperability between the two has been especially improved in AVReporter v2.1 with easier publication of reports and dashboards, and more support for team- sharing and online collaboration. AVReporter v2.1 includes a host of new built-in reports and dashboards (new Statistic reportsand Dashboards, Forecast reports,Power Quality reports, etc.),providing an even broader portfolio of reports and analyses for both engineers and managers. This broader list of built-in reports plus the ability to create additional custom reports is designed to provide all users with a very efficient and flexible reporting environment. The AVR Connection Center has also been improved, making integration to different data sources and systems much easier and faster. With these additional improvements, very little IT knowledge is required due to the intuitive Simple View user interface. Using the new Advanced View user interface of the AVR Connection Center, we have facilitated the integration of several new and common communication interfaces (databases, field devices, data concentrators, etc.). New customized connections can now facilitate data links to SQL server, TCP/IP, FTP, OPC Server, XML file, CSV file, etc. With AVReporter v2.1, we now allow the individual installation of system elements to different server computers (AVReporter database server, AVReporter WEBPublisher WEB server, AVReporter administrator server). This greatly facilitates the design and support of system architectures at a multi-site, regional, and global level or virtually unlimited size. During the development of the new features and procedures in AVReporter v2.1, we were able to review and provide even more effective performance utilization of multi-core processor systems. The result was a 20-50% performance increase over the previous version. Based on the performance of existing installations and the testing completed using this new version, we have estimated that AVReporter v2.1 can manage more than 500 000 metering points and 1000 users. AVReporter v2.1 can support redundant database structures, therefore high availability and data safety is assured. The new installation kit includes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (32 bit and 64 bit) however, AVReporter still supports installation with other databases. (Oracle, My SQL, MS SQL Server 2005, etc.) AVReporter v2.1 supports Microsoft Internet Explorer v9, which assures even faster and more effective work in the web environment.Of course, AVReporter still supports other browsers. (Mozilla Firefox 4, Google Chrome 7, Internet Explorer 8). Finally, the new functions of AVReporter WEBPublisher provide in-depth support for system maintenance and have been greatly simplified for administrators. If a user forgets his/her password, then the password recovery function sends an e-mail with the forgotten password, but only after the user provides an answer to a security question. o From now on, more specific user permissions can be set. o New Company group users have been added, that can be managed for access to reports, dashboards and data, whereby permissions can be set down to specific fields. With the help of company groups sharing of data has become even simpler. |
