| It’s the biggest one in the United Kingdom. It accommodates 67 million people every year and is the fourth largest in the world. We’re talking, of course, about London Heathrow Airport. It’s one of the most popular destinations for Black Jackets, with Heathrow minicabs driving passengers to and from there on a regular basis. From the airport, you can fly to 170 destinations around the world, on one of 90 different airlines. It has 5 terminals, and almost endless facilities. If you’re unfamiliar with it at all, let us fill you in. You’ll need to arrive a few hours before your flight to allow time to check in and pass security; if you leave it too late, you might not be able to board the flight. Book a minicab to Heathrow to get you there in plenty of time, or make sure you have transportation arranged. You’ve got two options when it comes to checking in; either queue up at one of the staffed desks, or use one of the self service check in points. Both are fairly straightforward, as long as you have all your flight information and documents handy. After this, you’ll need to go through security. Make sure you check the airport’s website before you leave to see their guidelines on what you can and can’t carry in your hand luggage, and try not to bring anything metal on your person. Don’t panic if the alarm goes off when you pass through the scanner - it could be something as simple as a belt buckle! They may ask you to empty your pockets or remove your shoes, but it’s all for your own safety. Once you’re through security, you’re free to explore the many shops, restaurants and bars in the airport. Here, you’re really spoiled for choice; it’s like being in a huge shopping complex where you wouldn’t want for anything. With everything on offer from coffee to wine, and snacks to full meals, you can easily stay well nourished. Sit back and relax while you wait for your flight to board; this could take a while. Ideally, your journey will run smoothly and you won’t be rushed, but it happens to all of us at some point or another. Try not to leave it to the last minute to find your passport, pack your luggage and find a lift to the airport; it could end badly if you do! You can use private hire minicabs to Heathrow, and be confident that they’ll get you there on time, in style. So many Londoners now rely on Heathrow airport minicabs; it beats being cramped on a train whilst dragging your suitcase behind you...
